Introduction
The experimental UI design proposal of 3 screens for Chef’s Heartwatcher, created with Adobe XD, is part of the exercise for the course on Visual Elements of User Interface Design from the California Institute of the Arts on Coursera. The goal of this exercise was to apply and practice the use of colour, typography, and images in order to present them in a clear and fluid manner.

1. Target audience: Chefs and cooks
For this innovative user interface proposal, chefs and cooks were specifically selected as the target group.
2. Value proposition — Heart monitoring application
In the demanding and fast-paced world of hospitality, chefs and cooks are the heart of any culinary establishment, playing a crucial role in the success of their operations. However, the rigour of their daily tasks can take a toll on their well-being, especially their cardiac health, a vital aspect that affects not only their professional performance but also their quality of life.
Recognizing the importance of maintaining optimal cardiac health and the need for tools that facilitate this goal in such a demanding environment, the mobile app solution has been designed exclusively for chefs and cooks. This innovative digital tool offers a comprehensive solution for real-time heart rate monitoring, allowing kitchen professionals to effectively manage their health while focusing on what they do best: creating exceptional culinary experiences.

3. Naming and slogan
The chosen name for the proposal was Chef’s Heartwatcher, referring to “Chef’s Cardiac Guardian”.
On the other hand, the selected slogan was the following:
Healthy hearts, tasty food.
4. Moodboard
The moodboard was essential for capturing the colour palette of the high cuisine world and evaluating the aesthetics and feel of the typography.
