The project
I introduce to you this new project created during the last degree year in the school La Escuela de Diseño ESI Valladolid in 2014. This last year the gastronomic center of Valladolid Estación Gourmet, an establishment which is composed by different food and drink stands (different companies) and which offers gastronomic products to visitors, offered the 4º degree year graphic design students the possibility to create an audiovisual project for them. The goal of each student was to create a promotional audiovisual work for each stand (company) and to finally converge all parts in a common story. Each student has created 3 works for this collaborative project in which more than 20 business are being advertised.
This audiovisual work is going to be displayed through a 4:3 format screen, allowing visitors to see the animation while they stay in Estación Gourmet. My job was to create for Bar San Gastronomik, Agitar y servir frío and La sepia y el arroz Yovilant.
Brief summary of the audiovisual works creation process
Before each students started with their parts, the different stands were distributed. The next step was to deal with each of the stand owners (3 of them for each student). Sequentially, the different stands have been analysed, looking for relevant graphic elements. Once this step has been concluded, the brainstorming and project creation started.
The 3 projects has been created with Adobe After Effects. In my case, some specific plugins have been used. The used plugins were Element 3D from Videocopilot for Agitar y servir frío and Layermonkey and Textmonkey for Bar San Gastronomik. Element 3D also required the optimization of the imported 3D models using 3D Max Studio.
The final audiovisual story is not available right now. As soon as the full project is released I will add it here.
