Smackbass is a musical producer team formed by Ignacio García and Juan Pablo González. They produce beats together and sell them on www.beats4s.com. The logotype they wanted had to be composed in a simple way and using a typhography without curves and with a thick body. I was searching for different typographies, but I wanted a unique and personalised result and to get this I decided to create the lettering of the name myself.
To be able to identify the logotype in another way, I created an icon to accompany or represent the name.
As far as the composition of the logotype is concerned, I based my idea on piano keys. In addition, the aestheic of the logotype had to transmit hardness, firmness, aggressiveness (positive) and dynamism.
Regarding the icon, it had to be related to the aesthetic of the name, so I used the same line direction as the name ones. It represents a keyboard.
